Join Pastor Tim as he kicks off the advent season. Christ is the hope of the world coming into the darkness. This world can often seem so dark and hopeless. From the many conflicts going on around the world, to the terrible headlines in the news, to the grief felt during the holidays from the loss of loved ones. To find hope in this darkness, some look to mystics, some to scholars, some to the government, some to the market, and almost everyone looks to technology. However, the message of Christmas is that we are unable to save ourselves and in need of a saviour from outside of this world to provide hope. The message of Christmas is things really are this dark, NEVERTHELESS there is hope. Christmas is the most unsentimental, realistic way of looking at life. It means that we are lost, and nothing short of God himself is able to save us.
