Join Us In-Person

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be worshiping together again as a church family, however, things will look a little bit different as we work hard to respect the re-opening guidelines the Ontario Government has put in place for churches.

Contact the church if you have any questions at all.

If you are unwell, attend online instead

Please stay home and participate in our livestream if you or your child:

  • Has had a fever in the past 14 days,
  • Shows any symptoms of COVID-19 (runny nose, cough, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, shortness of breath), or
  • Has been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for covid-19.

What we are doing to maintain safety

  • Hand sanitizer is available at all of the entrances.
  • We are refraining from handshakes, hugging, fist-bumps, etc. for the time being.
  • Our coffee time after the service will be put on hold for the time being.
  • We will be socially distancing between family groups. Chairs are set up in groups of 4-6 with 2-meter aisleways.
  • We will clearly designate some doors to enter and others to exit.

Will you have children’s programming?

Yes! We are excited to offer limited spaces for in-person attendance of our programs for children Kindergarten – Grade 5. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer programming for nursery and pre-school aged children.

In addition to our in-person programming we are still offering our zoom programming on Sunday mornings.

Find our more about kids programming here.

Will you be taking an offering?

We will not be passing any offering baskets, but they will be located at the exits. And you can always continue with online giving.

Will washrooms be open?

Yup! But washrooms will be limited to one person at a time. They are clearly marked open or closed.

Will I need to wear a mask?

Yes, wearing a mask in all public spaces, including the church, is currently a requirement in Ontario. Plattsville Church has developed a mask policy based on the provincial guidelines. Please note:

A person shall be exempt from wearing a face-covering in Plattsville Church if:

  • The person is a child under the age of two years; or is a child under the age of five years either chronologically or developmentally and he or she refuses to wear a face covering and cannot be persuaded to do so by their caregiver;
  • The person is incapacitated and unable to remove their face covering without assistance;
  • Wearing a face covering would inhibit the person’s ability to breathe such as, but not limited to, during athletic, fitness or physical activity or any activity that would preclude its use (such as swimming);
  • For any other medical reason, the person cannot safely wear a face covering such as, but not limited to, respiratory disease, cognitive difficulties or difficulties in hearing or processing information.

No person shall be required to provide proof of any of the exemptions set out in #3 of the policy.
