Light in the Darkness: Joy

Join Pastor Tim as we continue our advent series. This week we light the Joy Candle. The word “joy” is plastered on everything during the Christmas season. It’s on buildings, on banners, used in advertisements, in songs, but what does it actually mean? Joy is the emotion evoked in obtaining the object of our desire. When the object of our desire is the immovable, unshakable, all loving God, then joy gives us the ability to look beyond our current problems and circumstance to the author and object of our joy.
